With the advent of the real bump key it's now possible to open most locks within a matter of seconds. Whether you're trying to unlock a residential or commercial lock, bump keys should definitely be in your inventory and one of the first tools you turn to. All of our keys are cut from solid brass, nickel silver, or nickel plated brass to ensure maximum longevity. While there are stronger materials available, the risk of damage increases dramatically when a stronger key is used. It's our philosophy that we'd much rather damage a bump key than damage a lock.
If you're looking for our most popular bump key look no further than the Kwikset bump key. This key comes in two flavors; the wide variant which is designed to work for factory pinned locks and the narrow variant which is designed for some aftermarket pinned locks. The narrow variant is a special key that we developed in house. It's cut in such a way that the peaks are a bit taller and the valleys not as wide. This key has been effective when trying to bump locks that have smaller (more narrow) pins.
